If you have a question about Auburn’s top student housing choice, chances are that someone else has had the same query. We’ve compiled a list of the most common things asked of The Beacon and the corresponding answers for your convenience. Where is The Beacon on South College located?

We’re located at 1255 South College Street in Auburn, Alabama, just one mile from Auburn University.

When is the leasing office open?

The leasing office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What does rent include?

For your convenience, rent includes basic cable, high-speed internet with Wi-Fi, and furnishings. You also have full access to all of our amazing amenities and on-site professional staff!

How do I get to campus?

To help you make it to class on time, we are conveniently located on a Tiger Transit route to campus. Shuttles come every 5–10 minutes and have late-night hours to shuttle residents to campus and local nightlife hot spots!

Do you allow pets?

Yes, The Beacon is pet friendly. Aggressive breeds and exotic pets restricted. Maximum weight at maturity for dogs: 50 lbs. Please contact the leasing office for more information.

Is on-site parking available?

Yes, we have ample on-site parking.

What floor plans do you offer?

We offer two-, three-, and four-bedroom furnished floor plans.

What is an individual lease?

An individual lease is a per-bed lease. You sign a lease for a bed in the apartment and share common areas with roommates. This allows you to live with roommates without having to worry about whether they’re going to pay on time.

What is the process to match roommates?

If you’re looking for a roommate, fill out our roommate-matching questionnaire online when you sign your lease. We will use that information to match you and your future roommate. If you already have a roommate selected, we can help sort out the details with that, too!

Do you have an on-site laundry facility?

Each unit includes a full washer and dryer in a large laundry room area of the townhome.

Do you have a maintenance staff?

Yes, we have maintenance available during office hours, as well as 24-hour emergency maintenance service.

Do I have to be a student to live here?

No, you do not.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes, contact our office for specific pricing and income requirements.

How do I pay rent?

You’re welcome to pay by check or money order at the leasing office during business hours, or you can pay online!

When is rent due?

Rent is due on the 1st of each month, with a grace period until the 3rd. Late fees begin to accrue on the 4th.

How do I apply for an apartment?

You can easily complete the entire leasing process online by clicking here. Fill out and submit your application, your guarantor’s application, and your roommate preferences form. You can even complete the lease for your new apartment online! We are also available on site if you wish to visit us to apply in person.
